Family memories on everyday fashion.

Inspiration for this piece was taken from looking at me, my family and our life, past and present. Old photographs hold so many memory’s and moments that they can be forgotten in the modern world of technology and if family members are no longer here as photographs can be lost or left behind. I wanted to use the black and white photographs to bring back certain memories and family members into modern design and be a part of every day wear as they would have been many years ago. _MG_3450

Discarded Spaces

Textile mill where things have been left, interesting items discarded and not used anymore which inspired these photographs.

Inspiration for these photographs has been take from the textile mill my father works for. Many spaces in the mill look to have been discarded and left due to the buildings large size and certain rooms not having a role in the business. Interesting old items such as paint tins and scales have been left and are collecting dust, leaving a past evidential life on the floors.
